南皮克斯特公立学校赢得了免费围墙

奥特里选区新州议会议员马克.库瑞宣布南皮克斯特公立学校获批修建围墙。

自从当选议员，我与学校的校长和校委员会一起努力为学校赢得全新的围墙。在我当选议员之前很多年，学校的围墙申请一直被忽视。

我就此事汇报给教育厅长艾德里安.皮寇里，并且将学校的请愿书呈交给厅长。

厅长看过请愿书后，马上批示新的学校围墙即将安装使用。

这对于学校和我们的社区来说是一件令人高兴的事，新的围墙将对学校老师，学生家长，尤其是学校的安全起到至关重要的作用。

我很荣幸，在我的能力范围内能够帮助我们的社区满足他们的需求，同时也很荣幸作为认真聆听社区需求的政府的一员。

A WIN FOR THE COMMUNITY

State Member for Oatley, Mark Coure MP declares a win for Peakhurst South Public School and the community that stood behind the school for a new improved school fence.

Since being elected, I have worked with the Principal and school community to gain a new fence in line with the other schools across our community. For many years before my election into parliament, pleas from the school community did not get heard.

“Whilst there have been fruitful discussions with the Minister for Education, the Hon Adrian Piccoli, I wanted to show how serious this community was about this request and organised a community petition. The school has waited long enough” Mr Coure said.

“I am delighted the petition I delivered personally to the Minister has been taken seriously. With more than 300 signatures received, this request has been heard and a new fence has been approved by the Minister”.

“This is a great win for the school and the community. The fence will make Peakhurst South Public School an even safer environment for parents, teachers, the school community, and of course the students.

“It is a privilege for me to be in a position that enables me to act on behalf of the community’s needs. It is an even greater privilege to belong to a government that listens” Mr Coure concluded.
